Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar called upon people to adopt solar rooftop units to cope with the rising electricity consumption and increasing power charges, stating that renewable energy is the best alternative to reduce costs. During his visit to Mallampeta Colony in Donakonda Mandal of Darsi constituency on Monday, the Minister inaugurated solar rooftop units installed by 44 SC families under the PM Surya Ghar scheme. Speaking on the occasion, he urged people to embrace changing technologies and increase the usage of renewable energy sources, noting that solar rooftop systems enable households to generate electricity on their own rooftops, with each unit capable of producing around 300 units of power. He announced that ₹50.39 crore has been allocated for implementing the PM Surya Ghar scheme in Darsi constituency and added that across the state, free solar units are being installed for 6 lakh SC and ST families, while subsidies of ₹98,000 for BCs and ₹78,000 for OC categories are being provided for solar connections.
The Minister criticized the previous YSRCP government for increasing electricity tariffs nine times and burdening the public, while highlighting that the coalition government led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has not increased tariffs and has instead reduced charges by 13 paise. He stated that the government is taking several measures to further reduce electricity costs in the coming days. Referring to rural electrification, he said that 611 ST families in the forest region of Palutla in Yerragondapalem constituency have been provided free solar and battery storage units, ensuring electricity access even in areas where laying power lines is not feasible due to forest restrictions. He also mentioned that out of the one crore solar connections approved nationwide by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 20 lakh connections have been allocated to Andhra Pradesh.
He further stated that under the RDSS scheme, works worth ₹8,000 crore are being undertaken across the state for new power lines, poles, and infrastructure development, with ₹147 crore sanctioned for Darsi constituency alone, out of which works worth ₹115 crore have already been completed. The Minister announced that under the PM Kusum scheme, farmers will soon receive 9 hours of daytime solar power supply, with solar plants to be set up near 11 KV lines, and if government land is not available, private land will be leased for the purpose. He assured that pending agricultural connections will be provided on a priority basis before the upcoming cropping season and that new substations are being constructed to ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply without low voltage issues.
Highlighting development and welfare initiatives, the Minister said that ₹500 crore has been allocated for the Veligonda project under the special focus of the Chief Minister and assured that new pensions and housing will be provided to eligible beneficiaries based on financial feasibility. He urged people to support and recognize the coalition government for its efforts in ensuring welfare and development across the state. Earlier, he inaugurated a computer lab established at the Zilla Parishad High School in Mallampeta at a cost of ₹11 lakh with the support of donors and appreciated donor Vadlamudi Bhupal, encouraging more individuals to come forward for such initiatives under the P4 program. He stated that the establishment of modern computer labs in government schools would enhance students’ competitiveness and bring them on par with private institutions. రోజు రోజుకూ పెరుగుతున్న క‌రెంట్ వాడ‌కం, పెరుగుతున్న విద్యుత్ ఛార్జీలు, ఖ‌ర్చుల‌ను త‌గ్గించుకోవ‌డానికి ప్ర‌జ‌లంద‌రూ సోలార్ రూఫ్ టాప్ యూనిట్ల‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవాల‌ని ఇంధ‌న శాఖ మంత్రి గొట్టిపాటి ర‌వికుమార్ పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ప్ర‌కాశం జిల్లా ద‌ర్శి నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గం, దొన‌కొండ మండ‌లంలోని మ‌ల్లంపేట కాలనీలో మంత్రి గొట్టిపాటి సోమ‌వారం ప‌ర్య‌టించారు. పీఎం సూర్య‌ఘ‌ర్ ప‌థ‌కంలో భాగంగా గ్రామంలోని 44 ఎస్సీ కుటుంబాలు ఏర్పాటు చేసుకున్న సోలార్ రూఫ్ టాప్ యూనిట్ల‌ను మంత్రి ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సంద‌ర్భంగా మంత్రి గొట్టిపాటి మాట్లాడుతూ.. మారుతున్న సాంకేతిక ప‌రిజ్ఞానాన్ని అందిపుచ్చుకుంటూ పున‌రుత్పాద‌క విద్యుత్ ప్లాంట్ల వినియోగాన్ని పెంచుకోవాల‌ని ప్ర‌జ‌ల‌కు సూచించారు. స‌బ్సిడీతో కూడిన సోలార్ ప్లాంట్ల ఏర్పాటుతో స‌మాజంలోని అన్ని వ‌ర్గాల ప్ర‌జ‌ల‌కు ప్ర‌యోజ‌నం ఉంటుందని అన్నారు. మ‌నం వాడుకునే విద్యుత్ ను మ‌న ఇంటిపైనే ఉత్ప‌త్తి చేసుకునే అవ‌కాశం సోలార్ రూఫ్ టాప్ లో ఉందని వివరించారు. ఒక్కో సోలార్ ప్లాంట్ తో సుమారు 300 యూనిట్ల వ‌ర‌కు విద్యుత్ ఉత్ప‌త్తి చేసుకోవ‌చ్చ‌ని ఆయ‌న‌ తెలిపారు. ద‌ర్శి నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గంలో పీఎం సూర్య‌ఘ‌ర్ అమ‌లు కోసం రూ.50.39 కోట్ల నిధుల‌ను కేటాయించినట్లు మంత్రి వెల్ల‌డించారు. రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా 6 ల‌క్ష‌ల ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ కుటుంబాల‌కు ఉచిత సోలార్ యూనిట్ల‌ను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తున్నామ‌న్నారు. సోలార్ క‌నెక్ష‌న్ తీసుకునే బీసీల‌కు రూ.98 వేలు, ఓసీల‌కు రూ.78 వేలు స‌బ్సిడీ ఇస్తున్నామ‌ని ఆయ‌న‌ తెలిపారు.

వైసీపీ ప్ర‌భుత్వ హ‌యాంలో 9 సార్లు విద్యుత్ ఛార్జీల‌ను పెంచి ప్ర‌జ‌ల‌పై భారాలు వేసిందని మంత్రి గొట్టిపాటి విమ‌ర్శించారు. సీఎం చంద్ర‌బాబు నాయుడు ఆధ్వ‌ర్యంలోని కూట‌మి ప్ర‌భుత్వం ఇప్ప‌టి వ‌ర‌కు రూపాయి విద్యుత్ ఛార్జీ పెంచ‌కుండానే 13 పైస‌లు ట్రూ డౌన్ చేసింద‌న్నారు. రాబోయే కాలంలో విద్యుత్ ఛార్జీల‌ను మ‌రింత‌ త‌గ్గించే ల‌క్ష్యంతో అనేక చ‌ర్య‌లు చేప‌డుతున్నామ‌ని మంత్రి చెప్పారు. య‌ర్ర‌గొండ‌పాలెం నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గంలోని పాలుట్ల అట‌వీ ప్రాంతంలో నివ‌సించే 611 ఎస్టీ కుటుంబాల‌కు సోలార్, బ్యాట‌రీ స్టోరేజ్ యూనిట్ల‌ను ఉచితంగా అందించామ‌ని ఈ సంద‌ర్భంగా మంత్రి గుర్తు చేశారు. రాష్ట్రంలో విద్యుత్ లేని గ్రామాలు ఉండ‌కూడ‌ద‌న్న సీఎం చంద్ర‌బాబు ల‌క్ష్యానికి అనుగుణంగా స్వాతంత్య్రం వ‌చ్చిన 75 సంవ‌త్స‌రాల్లో పాలుట్ల తండా వాసుల‌కు మొద‌టిసారి విద్యుత్ వెలుగులు అందించ‌డం గొప్ప విష‌య‌మ‌న్నారు. తండాలు ఉండే ప్రాంతంలో విద్యుత్ లైన్లు వేయ‌డానికి అట‌వీ శాఖ అనుమ‌తులు ఇవ్వ‌క‌పోవ‌డంతో రాత్రి స‌మ‌యాల్లోనూ ఉప‌యోగప‌డేలా సోలార్, బ్యాట‌రీ యూనిట్ల‌ను వారికి అందించామ‌న్నారు. దేశ‌వ్యాప్తంగా కోటి సోలార్ క‌నెక్ష‌న్ల‌కు ప్ర‌ధాని మోడీ అనుమ‌తులు ఇస్తే., అందులో 20 ల‌క్ష‌లు ఆంధ్ర‌ప్ర‌దేశ్ కే కేటాయించార‌ని మంత్రి గొట్టిపాటి గ‌ర్వంగా చెప్పారు. రాష్ట్ర‌వ్యాప్తంగా రూ.8 వేల కోట్ల‌ ఆర్డీఎస్ఎస్ నిధుల‌తో కొత్త విద్యుత్ లైన్లు, స్తంభాలు ఏర్పాటు, మౌలిక వ‌స‌తులు అభివృద్ధి ప‌నులు చేప‌ట్టామ‌న్నారు. ద‌ర్శి నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గంలో ఆర్డీఎస్ఎస్ ప‌నుల కోసం రూ.147 కోట్లు మంజూరు చేశామ‌ని., ఇందులో రూ.115 కోట్లకు సంబంధించిన ప‌నులు కూడా పూర్త‌య్యాయ‌న్నారు.

పీఎం కుసుమ్ ద్వారా వ్య‌వ‌సాయానికి ప‌గ‌టి పూటే 9 గంట‌ల సౌర‌ విద్యుత్ ను స‌ర‌ఫ‌రా చేస్తామ‌ని మంత్రి గొట్టిపాటి తెలిపారు. పీఎం కుసుమ్ ప‌నులు త్వ‌ర‌లోనే ప్రార‌భం అవుతాయ‌న్నారు. 11 కేవీ లైన్ల‌కు దగ్గ‌ర‌గా పీఎం కుసుమ్ సోలార్ ప్లాంట్లు ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామ‌ని మంత్రి చెప్పారు. ప్ర‌భుత్వ భూములు అందుబాటులో లేక‌పోతే ప్రైవేటు భూముల‌ను కౌలుకు తీసుకుని అయినా పీఎం కుసుమ్ సోలార్ ప్లాంట్ల‌ను వ‌చ్చే ఏడాదే ప్రారంభిస్తామ‌ని మంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. వ్య‌వ‌సాయ క‌నెక్ష‌న్ల‌ను ప్రాధాన్య‌తా క్ర‌మంలో ఇస్తున్నామ‌ని తెలిపారు. పెండింగ్ లో ఉన్న వ్య‌వ‌సాయ క‌నెక్ష‌న్ల‌ను వ్య‌వ‌సాయ సీజ‌న్ ప్రారంభం నాటికి ఇస్తామ‌ని ఆయ‌న హామీ ఇచ్చారు. లో ఓల్టేజ్, అంత‌రాయాలు లేని విద్యుత్ స‌ర‌ఫ‌రా కోసం స‌బ్ స్టేష‌న్ల నిర్మాణం చేస్తున్నామ‌ని చెప్పారు. సీఎం చంద్ర‌బాబు ప్ర‌త్యేక శ్ర‌ద్ధ‌తో వెలిగొండ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కు రూ.500 కోట్లు కేటాయించి ప‌నులు చేయిస్తున్నార‌ని స్ప‌ష్టం చేశారు. అదే విధంగా ఆర్థిక వెసులుబాటును బ‌ట్టి కొత్త పెన్ష‌న్ల మంజూరుతో పాటు అవ‌స‌ర‌మైన వారికి ఇళ్ల‌ను కూడా కేటాయిస్తామ‌ని మంత్రి గొట్టిపాటి భ‌రోసా ఇచ్చారు. అంద‌రికీ సంక్షేమం అమ‌లు చేస్తూ., రాష్ట్రాన్ని అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్న కూట‌మి ప్ర‌భుత్వాన్ని ప్ర‌జ‌లు కూడా గుర్తుంచుకోవాల‌ని ఆయ‌న‌ కోరారు. కార్య‌క్ర‌మంలో క‌నిగిరి ఎమ్మెల్యే ఉగ్ర‌న‌ర‌సింహారెడ్డి, ద‌ర్శి నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గం టీడీపీ ఇన్ఛార్జ్ గొట్టిపాటి ల‌క్ష్మి, మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే నార‌శెట్టి పాపారావుతో పాటు ల‌బ్ధిదారులు, కూట‌మి నేత‌లు, అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
